anytime you feel the need
what ever is comfortable, but anytime
When do you think you should lay flowers at someones grave christmas or when would have been their birthday?
You can lay flowers on a grave anytime you want. A Christmas wreath would be wonderful. Valentine%26#039;s Day would be another if the person was a spouse or other such. The deceased birthday or the day of their death and Memorial Day...........anytime you feel moved to do so. In fact each time you visit the grave site would be an ideal time to bring flowers.
Reply:You can put flowers out whenever you want. I do it on my Grandmothers grave for Mothers Day. My cousins put flowers on our relatives graves for Memorial Day. You can do it on birthdays or on on the anniversary of their death. It is entirely your choice.
Reply:Whenever you feel the need to
Reply:Umm... I%26#039;m Jewish. We don%26#039;t do flowers for the dead. We also don%26#039;t do Christmas.
Reply:Anytime is appropriate for leaving flowers @ someones grave.. And, for many, just visiting @ a belated loved ones grave can be extremely therapeutic ( i.e, putting closure to a very difficult loss, or simply just because you miss them).
Reply:The grave is for a vessel that no longer contains the person, Therefore, do it whenever you like
Reply:No rules mate.
Reply:Funerals and cemetartys are for the living, the dead don%26#039;t care-all that remains is the shell. You must ask yourself what makes you feel better--which day, and use that day. These things are there for you to come to terms with how you feel about the departed, not for them.
Reply:You should do it when you feel the need to. You%26#039;re doing it for yourself, not for them.
Reply:Whenever you feel moved to do so and on Memorial Day.
Reply:A rule that I now live by, it that for each women in my life, aunt, cousin, in-law, what ever, I pick one person and send them as nice of an arrangement as I can on their birthday. I do one a year this way, and I let them know, Yes it is for your birthday, but also this is for you. I will not send flowers to your funeral, I want YOU to be able to enjoy them while you can. I have about 3/4 of the women in my life done already. They seem to love them while they have the chance to enjoy them. Hope this helps.
Reply:Whenever you feel the need. It%26#039;s a way to honor the dead. It%26#039;s a pagan practice that has been happening for thousands of years.
Reply:I always get a holly wreath at Christmas for my sisters and my friends grave you can always have ribbons and flowers put into it as to what was there favourite colour, other times i fill the vase with fresh/artificial flowers on birthdays/remembrance days. Do what feels right for you.
Some people say that the deceased know if you put fresh flowers in your own home in remembrance for them.
Reply:All those times are good. I am a chaplain on staff at a major memorial park...and it never ceases to amaze me how different cultures participate in this ritual.
Some folks do it just about any holiday you can think of (Halloween, Valentine%26#039;s day, Mother%26#039;s or Father%26#039;s day, Easter, you name it!)
Reply:The best time would be when it makes you feel better. The person receiving the flowers is deceased, so you can%26#039;t really take their feelings into account.
