Does 1800 Flowers Include A Card?

I%26#039;m want to send my girlfriend some flowers for her birthday (we%26#039;re about 2000 miles apart for the time being because of college). She%26#039;s turning 19 and I%26#039;d like to send 19 roses. I%26#039;ve checked online places like FTD, Pro Flowers, and 1800 flowers. It seems I can only get 12 or 18 roses so it looks like I%26#039;ll just have to get 18 and I guess I%26#039;ll go with 1800 flowers.

My question is, does 1800 Flowers send some kind of personalized card along with the bouquet? The flowers I picked aren%26#039;t in a %26quot;birthday%26quot; arrangement but I%26#039;d like a birthday card along with the flowers. For those who have ordered from 1800 flowers, when you order do they give you the option of adding a personalized card or something like that? Will I have to buy a %26quot;birthday%26quot; arrangement to get a card?

Also, how do these arrive? If I get roses with a vase are they already in the vase in a box or something? How does it work?

Thanks.

You%26#039;re in college and you are asking this????
Reply:If you get the vase option, it arrives in the vase with clear plastic wrapped over it in a nice way. You can get a Card special, but it usually comes with a small business sized note card that has a specialized message from you, but limited number of words. If you want a card, they will offer you that option no matter what %26quot;package%26quot; you order.

With any flower company you can call and tell them exactly what you want and have it delivered, even 19 roses. Might I suggest 18 red and one white for the special day?

Call them direct (Whichever company you like as the ones you have listed are pretty close in prices) and they will give you exactly what you want. You don%26#039;t have to order their packages, you can get the 19 roses. and the birthday card.

they arrive with the vase, but they still need to be taken out, arranged, and then trimmed before watering.

Don%26#039;t worry about it. No matter what you do, she is going to like it.
Reply:I have used proflowers.com and they have always been great - you can send a personalized message as well. The roses come with a vase, but aren%26#039;t already in it- how would that work?

I also use the place below for mothers day, my fiancee%26#039;s b-day, etc. You can buy personalized flower arrangements, etc. there as well and they are great!
Reply:Most flower delivery places let you select cards as an additional option. 1 800 flowers does have birthday cards to put with any flower arrangement.

Delivery drivers will not drive around with water in vases. The vase and bouquet are delivered at the same time, but usually with the flowers and vase in separate boxes.

The only problem is if someone is not home to get the delivery, it is often left on the porch and could get damaged by rain.
Reply:I have used them a couple of times. Once, to a girlfriend of mine in Holland, the other to my grandmothers. Each time they included a card. They arrive by a local florist to that specific area.

Depending on price, they have differing ways to send the flowers and messages. Roses can be purchased by the dozens, as they are the most commonly purchased flower. Rare flowers cost a lot more. Also, the cards differ. You can get standard message cards, or you can get something like Hallmark. Even the least expensive option allows you to send a personalized message.

Good luck.
